Seasoned Biopharmaceutical Leader and Board Director Steps Up to Lead the Company’s Next Phase of Growth in Customized Interleukin Therapies

ARScience Biotherapeutics, Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company specializing in the development and manufacturing of customized interleukins for in vivo use, today announced the appointment of Dr. Gustavo Mahler as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026. Dr. Mahler transitions from his role as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, where he has contributed strategic guidance as Arscience advances its mission to expand the boundaries of immunotherapy.

Dr. Mahler brings to Arscience over two decades of leadership across cell therapy, biopharmaceutical product development, and global general management. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Cellistic and Ncardia, where he spearheaded both organizations’ strategic growth in the induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) space, focused in cell therapy product development and scaling cell therapy manufacturing capabilities. Prior to his work in the iPSC space, Dr. Mahler served as a Venture Partner at Dynamk Capital, investing in leading life sciences tools, technologies, and services. Before that, he spent a decade leading and growing AGC Biologics into a premier global contract development and manufacturing organization, and held senior global leadership positions at Bayer Healthcare.

“I am truly excited to step into the CEO role at ARScience Biotherapeutics at such a pivotal moment. I look forward to accelerating our programs and forging the partnerships that will bring these customized cytokine solutions to the patients who need them.” said Gustavo Mahler.

Claudia Zylberberg, Chair and Co-founder of ARScience Biotherapeutics, commented: “Gustavo’s appointment as CEO is a significant milestone for ARScience. His rare combination of deep scientific knowledge — particularly in cell therapy and biotherapeutic development space — with proven commercial and operational leadership makes him the ideal executive to lead our company into its next chapter.”
