Inceptua acquires SupplyRx to enhance pharmacy services for clinical trials
September 2, 2026
Inceptua Group, a leading global provider of clinical trial supply, related services, and early access programs backed by Vesey Street Capital Partners, today announced the acquisition of SupplyRx, Inc., a U.S.-based technology-driven company providing cloud-based digital solutions for clinical trial pharmacy programs in the U.S. and Canada.
The acquisition strengthens Inceptua’s existing Pharmacy Model capabilities in North America, leveraging SupplyRx's technology, processes, and pharmacy networks to improve the clinical supply chain, lowering supply costs, increasing efficiencies, and reducing waste.
SupplyRx’s portal technology is accessed by study sponsors and clinical trial sites, ensuring and accelerating patient access to life-changing medicines, delivering an improved level of service for all. This enhanced Pharmacy model, and the expertise of the SupplyRx team, complements Inceptua’s nearly 30 years of established global sourcing and related packaging and labelling services, now providing clients with an even broader scope of service. SupplyRx’s North American footprint also opens support for retail pharmacy programs and pharmacy-driven clinical trial supply in both the U.S. and Canada.
“I am delighted to welcome SupplyRx to Inceptua,” says Stefan Fraenkel, CEO of Inceptua Group. “This acquisition advances our strategy to enhance our pharmacy offering via a real-time portal with greater access to selected specialty pharmacies and limited distribution drugs, establishing new capabilities for local retail pharmacy card services for trials. Combined, these services augment Inceptua’s position as the partner of choice for clinical supply strategies, with best-in-class comprehensive services worldwide. Together we will deliver better access, minimize wasted medicines, and help provide better outcomes for study patients. This investment in digital tools and data-driven patient-support solutions also underscores Inceptua’s focus on selectively adding and leveraging technology and innovation for the benefit of both clients and patients.”
SupplyRx’s leadership will join Inceptua, ensuring continuity of service and preservation of institutional expertise.
“We are excited to join the Inceptua family and combine our experience and capabilities. Having pioneered the original pharmacy card model for clinical trials more than a decade ago, I am extremely proud of what SupplyRx has built and the value our cloud-based, digital pharmacy card platform continues to deliver to sponsors, sites, and patients,” says Brian Horan, CEO and co-founder of SupplyRx.
President and co-founder Kevin McMurtry adds “Joining Inceptua represents an important next step in our evolution. Inceptua’s established capabilities and broader clinical supply expertise, combined with its deep understanding of the pharmacy card model, provide a strong foundation to expand our reach, strengthen customer support, and provide even greater support for manufacturers, clinicians, and patients.”
