Leaders in scientific and industrial imaging, Atik Cameras prepares for growth as Dr Panos Kapetanopoulos is promoted to director of Atik Cameras Norwich, UK

The appointment heralds an exciting new chapter for the UK office of the rapidly expanding company that specialises in imaging solutions for astrophotography, life science, industrial, scientific and cultural heritage conservation. Panos will be directing the Research & Development and Sales & Marketing operations from the UK office.

Panos brings over 15 years of research and development experience with a proven track record in imaging and engineering, having spent the first few years of his career as an R&D Engineer, before becoming an Engineering Manager in production and development at Photek Ltd.

Since then, Panos moved into a commercial role with focus on growth, distribution management and exportation, dealing with space science, life science, high energy physics, defence, academic research and OEM applications in domestic, European, US and Asian markets.

Looking to the future, Panos said: ‘I am excited about Atik’s growth prospects, in applications from sky surveillance looking for space debris, to chemiluminescence systems that help humanity leap forward in medicine and biochemistry. I am incredibly proud to be part of the Atik family and lead these developments.
